Cartesian Caramel
A Surface Deform Modifier made using Geometry Nodes.
This deforms geometry based on a moving surface object of your choice.
There are several modes that function on different geometry types:
- Mesh/Points (Deforms Mesh Vertices, Point Clouds, Curve Points, or Grease Pencil Points)
- Curves (Transforms Curves/Fur per spline root for increased performance)
- Instances (Transforms Instances)
Deform Surface attribute dependencies:
- rest_position (Use included "store rest_position" modifier before deformation)
- UVMap
Copy/append the modifiers into your files.
This will work in Blender 4.3 or later.
This is a Geometry Nodes modifier, not an add-on.
Use the modifier tab, the Geometry Node editor is not needed.
