This product creates non-destructive way of making hard surface creases in Blender.
This modifier takes the edge crease data and converts it into physical creases in the geometry, which helps in making paneling and other hard surface effects.
The modifier outputs and "Edge" attribute that can be used in the shader editor to add detail like flaking paint to the creases.
A subdivision or bevel modifier is recommended after the modifier to smooth the resulting mesh, but isn't required.
To activate the crease set the 'crease_edge' attribute to .1 or .9.
To set a edge crease in Blender:
- Use the shortcut 'Shift+E' on selected edges in edit mode
- Set the 'crease' value in the Side panel 'items' tab when in edit mode.
This will work in Blender 4.1 or later.
This is a geometry nodes modifier, not an addon.
