This is a modifier that will rotate by how far the object moved.


  • The Wheel Rotation modifier will Rotate along a single axis
  • The Tread Rotation modifier will take an edge or curve and instance a tread object of your choice on it.
  • The Sphere Rotation modifier rotates in any direction.


This uses Simulation Nodes to track how far the object moved, and turns that into a rotation.

It is recommended to copy or append the geometry node group into your scene.


This does not use mesh collision, so the wheels will always rotate unless disabled by the Rotation checkbox.

This is a geometry node modifier, not an addon.
