This is an Geometry Node based particle system for Blender 4.1.
This is still a bit experimental, and will be updated over time.
Nodes Included:
Main:
- Particle Simulation V4
- Particle Instance
- Particle Trail
- Child Particle
Velocity:
- Velocity Edit
- Velocity to Surface
- Velocity to Curve
- Velocity to Sphere
Extra
- Align Instances to Camera
- Self Transform (used for ignoring object transform)
Sub Groups:
- Set Particle Info
- Particle Rotation
- Particle Update(applies a frame's changes)
- Particle Size Mesh Collision (Uses Size)
- Particle Raycast Mesh Collision (Size ignored) (Experimental)
Named Attributes Used:
- Age
- Lifetime
- Life (normalized age)
- Mass
- Velocity (particle offset per frame)
- Will Delete
- Rotation
- Rot Velocity (Combined Axis Angle Rotational Velocity)
- Size (Size of particle)
These can be referenced in the shader editor or other nodes.
*Collisions are WIP, suggestions welcome.
*Delta time is not used for simplicity. Velocity is just the offset per frame.
